This site has grown to more than just a Nuke site. The members here are indeed dedicated. How can you tell that is? Well many members, myself included, have been here ever since the opening of V1 and V2 of Xtrato. Staying here that long isnt just because the themes are super awesome, but because you and the staff here make this site a place you can almost call home. It has became a smaller version of CT, where many active members come post their sigs, random people come and get nuke help. This site has almost become one of the nuke hotspots over the past couple years. Why shouldent you close? The members here are dedicated and the post counts show it. Most of us check the forums every single day. As Cyprus said when i first saw the Closed sign on the forums main page, i was shocked. Very shocked.

We have a strong base here and is we can build on it we can become an even closer community. Many of us designers here have come to learn, and learn is what most of us have done. I can name many improvements the designers here have had throughout the years. This has became more than just a simple nuke site, it has become a design community of friends.

As it has already been said; lets stay strong and show the world one more time what Xtrato Designs is all about

I like how so far the only two people who had anything negative to say are one with a single post and the onther with only 6.

This shows me that they obviously do not know what a great community this is. I'm aware that I my self only have 8, however, I was active as Overkill (i just cant remember the way i spelled it because i used numbers, so i made this account.) If they experianced bad support I willing to bet that it was either because they cant follow instructions or they just dont put enough effort into it. I havnt even purchased a theme from xtrato and even I have gotten support both personoly from xtrato and from this community.

Had you taken the time to post your issue in detail, and keep comeing back on a daily basis, i am sure your problems would have been solved long ago.

When i started to design in 2004 i was facinated when i visited Xtrato.com

I still remember it... they had PHPnuke running with the Zonar theme if im right,
When i saw that theme i thought to myself " Wow that's just great, no perfect" and that's where i got my inspiration in designing...

When Xtrato.com switched to Vbulletin i began to post... (okt. 2004)
after a couple of weeks i noticed that i began to visit this site 3 times a day 7 days a week, i (just like cyprus) read every single post that is made in the last 2 and a half years,

V3 of Xtrato.com looked great in the beginning, but after a few succesfull hack attempts , people decided not to come back.

my point is, dont give up Xtrato.com.
Eloy you probably dont notice it yourselve, but you are one of the reasons that many designers do what they like most : designing

You and others here @ Xtrato.com are an inspiration for young designers.
when they see Xtrato.com they want to make such great designs

We all know why...

As the email sent out clearly stated, its because of a few members of the nuke community that make MONEY from other peoples hard work and blatenly abuse the GPL/GNU licence that nuke falls under.

They will argue they dont make money , but they do .. they make money to buy more commercial themes and make there collection bigger and bigger.

Why should designers spend there hard time (weeks in some cases) making a awsome theme, for a few tossers to get hold of it and resell for penuts.

I dont agree with encoding/encripting files but i presume you felt you needed some more security, these people will simply re-write the theme files though, all there after is your skills, your graphics ... thats what there stealing and its a shame.

Personally it wouldnt suprise me if you stop supporting nuke themes... look at how many nuke theme designers come ..... and go ... and you wonder why ? after a few months/year designing they realize the themes fall under GPL and deside to focus there skills esle where.

Well i wish u the best even if i have heard some bad stuff about xtrato in the past, i wouldnt wish any nuke designer to quit to the few lossers that are out there...

Xtrato, you should keep this site up, it helps us noobs at gfx get better. It also is a place to show your work and get other's oppinions to help anyone get better. I personally haven't been here long, but the members are great and help out as much as they can. It would be a shame to see this site close down. You guys have earned your way up to the top of the gfx communities out there, and I don't think you should just give that position that you earned away just like that.

Well I'm not a very good designer but I know how to code. I have a buddy that knows how to design very well. So both of us could possibly help if i talk to him

Couldnt have said it better myself man, I do nuke themes and very good ones at that and am highly progressing, rapidly at that. But as of the other day when i found out a site (not gonna type it) with ALL my commercial themes on there for a simple friggin $20 subscription and when they pay it they get ALL the designs *sigh* I dont ask alot for my work, i just ask what should be rightfully do to me.. a little bit of money for the time and concentration i spend on my designs. But that will never happen so i have come to realize.

Anywho Xtrato, you should do like i am about to do... release all my commercial themes to the public for FREE... and once i do that it will screw those rippers without lube... noone will pay them for the designs if there free from the designer himself. Then i am gonna focus on Custom designs for my income. Thats where the money is.

Lets see how much money the fags make off my designs when they are free. I would rather release all my work then to let some moronic lazy bastards make money of what i put all that work into.

Either way X... shouldnt close down, but only Improvise, like the other guys say you are a badass designer (there are alot of other great designers as well) but you have been round a long time.... just find a way around these assholes and prosper. Thats what i am gonna do.

Thanks everyone for the support we gladly appreciate it ..it has been tough and pretty tiring but listening to all you guys really makes it worth lots.

Its not that Xtrato will stop designing...but i think he is going to start trying new cms's, since all those losers tend to hide under the GPL.

We have combined forces with another community and hope that we can both help each other
